On December 3, 2020, Francesca’s Holding Corporation, a Houston-based apparel, jewelry, accessories, and gift retailer with approximately 558 locations in 45 states, and its subsidiaries filed petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (Case 20-13076). The company reports $264.7 million in assets and $290.5 million in liabilities as of Nov. 1 and intends to pursue an auction and sale process under Bankruptcy code section 363. Further, the company has received a $25 million DIP financing commitment and has entered into a letter of intent with a stalking horse bidder.
