Color Spot Holdings, Inc., along with three subsidiaries and affiliates, has filed a petition for relief under Chapter 11 in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (Lead Case No. 18-11272). Headquartered in Temecula, CA, Color Spot is one of the largest growers and distributors of live plants in the western and southwestern United States. Color Spot’s petition reports $0 – $50,000 in assets and $100 – $500 million in liabilities.
According to the First Day Declaration, Color Spot enters Chapter 11 intending to sell substantially all of its assets under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code, but does not enter Chapter 11 with a stalking horse bidder in place. Epiq Bankruptcy Solutions, LLC is the proposed claims and noticing agent. The cases have been assigned to the Honorable Laurie Selber Silverstein.
